Mission Statement
“Live for Jesus, Grow Disciples, Change Lives” – It’s more than a clever by-line, it guides our decisions and plans. We hope that what we do will help you encounter Him and build relationships with those who strengthen each other in the faith.
Live For Jesus… Calling People to a life-forming relationship with Jesus being Born Again. We believe that living for Jesus begins in the community. Our family is a “loving” one, helping to accentuate that grace is available to all, not only in relationships within our own family but with the community, and the world. We live for Jesus by working together in mutual accountable relationships focused on becoming more Christ-like.
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as
I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one
another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” – John
13:34-35
We are and will be unapologetically evangelical in our approach towards transformation, calling sinners toward New Birth in Christ. But we will not settle for leaving people in the first step of their life with Jesus. One must be growing and have God’s Spirit move them towards sanctification.
Grow Disciples…Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.”- Matthew 28:19
We believe in all sorts of Groups being our ‘Discipling’ method and currently have groups meeting throughout the week. These are both Sunday Schools, Bible Studies, and Mutual Accountability groups. We want to be a multiplying congregation. The idea that we are all called to make other disciples is a marker of our own discipleship. We will be Disciples Making Disciples. In that process, we also grow into Disciples.
Change Lives… The Gospel message is one that should be sent as all are going into the world to transform it. We change lives by being sent – “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me even so I send you.’ And when he said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’.” – John 20:21-22
We are “a sent” people to transform our world. Our hope is to allow others to find a place to unite with God to work on creating something established but also new. We are a people dedicated to missional outreach. Our desire is not to keep people ‘coming’ to church but rather to see them ‘going’ and ‘being’ church. To take the church from a noun and put it into a verb! This is how we serve!
